It’s a bit older but definitely fine. They were redoing building 9 while we were there. The rooms are large and have a full kitchen and 2 full baths. you can walk to shipwreck beach and also to poipu beach if you like to walk. The bedrooms are ice cold but the living area doesn’t have air. I don’t find the couch super comfy to watch tv with more than 1 person, but both bedrooms also have tvs. the staff is very nice and accommodating. the pool is large but not deep, i think the deepest is 4’9”. its a bit warm but I rarely use... read more
Amazing place, staff was super friendly and just so relaxing.
Do not buy the breakfast package unless you want the same breakfast every day the entire trip plus all in your group must go together. Staff was wonderful, pool great, rooms older and need to be updated. No a/c in second bedroom so had to move the mattresses to floor in dining room to be able to sleep. Elevator worked 50% of the time and we were on the 4th floor. Beach was a walk away and breathtaking. Overall not the best value for your dollar.
Sometimes a vacation isn’t always about the place, it’s about the people. Our trip started a bit rough but Jon (front desk) and Erin (hotel manager) exceeded every expectation of customer service. While yes, some of the units are in need of updating they are in the process and when it’s complete The Point at Poipu will be back better than ever.
