Came to the Kitty Hawk location with my daughter and grandson. My daughter is a Hilton Diamond and wanted to check in an hour early. The front desk gentleman was not the nicest person and told us our room wasn't ready but would send us a text as soon as the room was available. My daughter contacted him once at 3:40 and once at 4:10. Mind you, check in is normally at 4:00 and on both occasions told her the room was still not ready. Staff are very friendly and quick to respond to any requests. It does feel more like an Airbnb rather than a hotel. I wish they had more food options on site, but Walmart, Wendys, Harris Teeters, and restaurants are close by. The amenities are fantastic. The indoor and outdoor water parks are great! The paddle boats and pond with the turtles are so cool! My children and grandchildren really enjoyed the arcade and pool table. Great location! The parking by the beach is amazing!!! As a Hilton HGV owner I'm disappointed in this resort. Its definitely not worth the money or name Hilton. I wish I had read the reviews before I booked because they tell the truth. First what went wrong: Access around the property is by car only. It doesn't look safe to walk the property. Most amenities cost extra. The pools chemicals burned my eyes without touching the water.
