This hotel has a 4 star rating but I'd disagree. It's a bit old and could use an update. Staff not very accommodation considering my non smoking room smelled like smoke... Uck!

My family was visiting me here in Santa Monica, since I live here I couldn't recommend a hotel, just to stay out of the seedy motels. They eventually settled on the Double Tree. At first glance it's nice. Valet only parking, but the valets are nice and a cozy room with all the amenities. The problems began with the door. Really, the card reader. Which ran out of battery as we were gone for the day. We found ourselves locked out our room until maintenance could replace the batteries. The day after my family arrived they decid... read more
