Stayed at Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island Beachfront and overall had a good experience, but with some consistent frustrations. The positives: the property is clean, rooms feel updated, and the bathrooms were well maintained. Beach access is easy and convenient. The pool area is large and nice, though not heated. There is a hot tub, but it was inconsistent—sometimes hot, sometimes not. My bathroom flooded the last night I was there.I reported it to the desk. I was told some would come to mop the bathroom. They never came and I was forced to mop the bathroom with the towels in the bathroom. Not really what an 80 year old man wants to be doing at 2 am.

1) The hardest bed I’ve ever slept on. You could literally hear the bed anytime we turned over or got up. 2) The restroom sink had a leak. Woke up to food and the sink and my husband thought I threw up in the middle of the night. 3) Charged $10 per day for parking and over booked the parking lot. So even with a room there ppl were still forced to park somewhere else off the premises. 4) Booked a room with pool/ocean view and ended up in a room at the front of the hotel! 5) Location…. Its was over two years ago. Beautiful view to the north up the beach . No other buisinesses to block the view. It happened to be a full moon that night the view with the moon over the gulf was fantastic, but I couldn't get a good picture with my old phone. We heard elosions and determined those explosions to be fireworks. That is the moment we discovered Claytons two doors down. Three doors down is a Bar Louie. We love the oin west Des Moines, Iowa.
