Rigo the bartender is on top of things refilling drinks right when it crosses your mind.
The dryer is always having issues. The gym is missing half of the weights. The cleaning staff won’t give you a chance to open the door before walking in if the door isn’t latched it happened several times where they would knock and immediately open the door even though i would yell i was coming. Very unhappy with their impatience. Maintenance staff and front desk were very kind and attentive.
I don’t often review hotels unless they are amazing or amazingly bad. The Hilton Garden Inn McAllen Airport in McAllen Texas falls into the category of hideous. To begin with, while staying here for business, about 12 of us, I arrived at the airport and called as instructed for the shuttle from the hotel. I was told it would be between 10 and 20 minutes. The staff and service were great, very friendly. The rooms and buildings are aged out and show quite a bit of wear and damage. It’s probably set to be updated at some point, but it’s not your standard quality Hilton Garden Inn. Close restaurants within walking distance.
