Colby at the check in desk was great!
This a great place but with poor management and low quality, over priced food in the on-site restaurant
First, I have to mention that the breakfast wasn't complimentary. In fact, it was kind of pricey. $14 for 2 pancakes and sausage. 🫤 But the real issue was the lady at the front desk that checked me in. I was on the reservation made by someone else through Booking.com and I presented her with my ID. She couldn't locate me. We stay, and have stayed in numerous Hilton properties all over the world, which we have found to be very impressive. The Carlsbad Garden Inn can rank itself right up there with these higher-end Hilton properties. When I first enter the property, I judge my "anticipated stay" by the way the people at the front desk greet us and treat us. They "represent" Mr. Hilton, and (to me)are the most important people in your organization... they passed with flying colors.
Recently stayed at this hotel for a few days and could not recommend it more ! The rooms, location, and service were exceptional. A special shout out to the front desk team; Jay, Andrew, and Allison:)
