The employees here are so nice! The restaurant and bar service were great, and the food was tasty. The only thing that bothered us was that the room was so dark. It needs more ceiling lighting.
10/2025 - I booked at this hotel after doing quite a bit of reading of past reviews. Ultimately, I settled on it because it has *attached* parking (not that I needed a car while in the city), it is central & walkable to EVERYTHING, and it (looked like it) has a pretty nice fitness center. I travel often for work, so having a fitness center is really important to me to be able to continue my workouts on the road. I stay here regularly for work to get points, but enough is enough with this place. It is a basic hotel that charges close to $400 and has no special amenities. It routinely takes a long time to get checked in, but tonight was the last straw when I tried checking in at 2am and their system was down, leading me to wait for “at least” 15 minutes. The location is perfect and walkable to the busy Newbury area. But the amenities on this property slightly outdated if counted as 4 star luxury hotel. The carpet smells like bleach and of room. The room doesn’t have Smart TV which I think should be common nowadays and food options within hotel not that many. And since we came on the rainstorm day, we was hoping a chill day to stay indoors and watch TV…The water pressure is good enough that case.
