Always enjoy going back to Hilltop. Great food & great supper club vibes.
The Hilltop does not honor reservation times. Waited far past our time without any updates from staff. Later when seated we were told they were out of almost all options including the main special. Only two fillets were left. I would have been much more understanding if we were told when we were waiting in the bar area for an hour as it was then well past 8 pm. The food here is very good. We like going midweek for the fish fry, and the ribs are quite good, too. My only complaint is that the non-fish fry menu has —count them — three chicken and pasta dishes, all with that heavy and rich Alfredo sauce. Last time there, I asked the waitress if I could get the pasta without the Alfredo, and she said no. Can't they offer one chicken-pasta dish without the goopy Alfredo? Does carbonara have to have Alfredo sauce? How about a simple primavera? Please?
Previously I would have recommended this place to anyone but unfortunately I will not be coming here again. My wife and I had a reservation, and we were not seated til almost an hour after the reserved time. What’s the point of a reservation if it’s not actually reserved? Once we were seated the waitress informed us that they are all out of prime rib. The food was good, steaks, fish were all good. The facility needs work and revitalization and found dark and moody. 1st time visitors and will consider again.
