Hillmuth Certified Automotive is a RIP OFF MASTER!! Took a Toyota Camry in for inspection - it was *thoroughly* checked out in FL prior to bringing it to Hillmuth in Columbia. Yet, Hillmuth failed its inspection and said it needed $1100 worth of work. First was a front motor mount - amazingly they raped us for $288 for the part, which can be found for a 4-pc set for $113. Quality Workmanship These guys really know the trade! They give fair and accurate estimates on price as well as completion time. The work is explained very well "in customer speak" and all of the employees I had contact with were very polite. The hours are very accommodating and the location is easy to find and navigate. Reliable and fair, highly recommended.
Fantastic Customer Service I have recently moved to the area and Hillmuth was reccommended to me. After the first visit, I was hooked. They explain everything in detail but at my level. Every service they have provided has been top quality. Part of their service is to provide transport while you wait. They will give you a lift or provide a rental car. Lastly, their customer service is unbelievable. I trust they know what they are doing and will only do the necessary repairs and not rip you off.
Reliable Automotive Shop I went to Hillmuth Automotive just recently when my car broke down. They were the closest shop to the car, and I didn't want to pay a lot to get it towed back home. I thought I was going to get ripped off because I was in a bind, but Hillmuth's proved me wrong. Not only that, but they offerred to drive me home, or get me a cab. They were very professional and did good work. I would use them again.
Be careful Incredibly high prices, and estimates for work are way off kilter. Took my car to another shop for second estimate and saved myself more than $1,000.
