I was looking for an apartment in Boise, Idaho. I was recommended by a friend to the Talavera Apartments. I went into the leasing office and met Amanda, community manager, there. What a pleasant experience. She went out of her way and beyond to help me acquire my apartment. She was instrumental in me deciding that this place was for me. Keith, maintenance manager, was another plus in my decision making. He painted and carpeted my apartment in a timely fashion. In regards to the owners response: As a criminal law graduate, I am more than aware of what can and cannot be done legally. In this instance, the property manager confirmed that the problematic tenants would NOT be eligible to renew their lease, which she admitted ended in March of this year. I am almost positive that ownership was well aware of this and chose to renew anyway, because after being confronted by my attorney with that information, they allowed us out of our lease immediately. I called to inquire for my young son. Amanda was especially helpful and was super patient with all my questions! Although we haven’t made a decision on a rental. I would consider this property based on my interaction with Amanda alone!
Talavera and the staff have been great! I moved my mother in a couple years ago. Right away Amanda was amazing. Arranged for my mother to get a unit at ground level and near parking because she don't get around well. Amanda checked in on her frequently to make sure she was getting along well because I'm not local. So I am very thankful for that. The property is well taken care of and maintenance was always very responsive with repairs. My only complaint is that at every point that the lease was renewed the rent increased. Wh... read more
