We brought Truck #029 to Truck Centers Freightliner in South Bend, IN because it was in a 55 MPH derate due to an aftertreatment issue. Ironically, the truck had just been at another Freightliner dealer for a similar problem. Truck Centers kept the truck for 2.5 days and charged us approximately $6,500. After all that time and money, the truck went back into a 55 MPH derate less than 100 miles after leaving their shop. As a fleet owner, this is beyond frustrating. I had my new RV checked out for some warning signals on the dashboard. They said they couldn't find anything wrong so Freighrliner would not pay for the diagnosis. They did not contact or get preauthorization from Freighrliner ahead of time. Instead they charged me for three hours of diagnostics that should have only took one hour. The technician admitted that one of the test he did, that he wasted an hour on, was done automatically in the second test that he did but didn't know it covered that. Great Service center took care of us very fast to get us back on the road.
This facility is great. They get you in quickly check the problem and do their best to fix it. I had dealings with both the shop and body shop. Both were very helpful in their services. Jasmine was very helpful and knowledgeable .
