I have been a patient of HCMA for over a decade and have recommended them time and time again. I truly love my doctor and all of the staff. They have been a part of our lives for so long and have always taken the time to treat myself and kiddos with actual concern. Not anymore. This merger with Christus has apparently changed their process - you will now wait in hold for a MINIMUM of 45 minutes to make an appointment or to speak with anyone. This was a great medical practice until Christus took it over. My blood pressure medication renewal was sent by my pharmacy 3 times and ignored. I was out of my medication for 5 days before I could get through to talk to someone. My blood pressure was sky high. When I finally got to talk to someone she said she had no record of that prescription. That's weird, I have been on it for 6 years. I then called to get a covid test because my job required it. I have been trying to get an appointment today, been hung up on 3 times, and on hold for 45 minutes, 53 minutes and now 36 minutes. They got my number this last time so you would figure they would call you back but still on hold. They have really started going downhill and the bad thing is my primary doctor uses this facility so it's not like I can go anywhere else
Normally, I would recommend HCMA in a heartbeat, but after my experiences in the last 2 weeks, I am not so quick. Today, I have been on hold for 58 minutes+; earlier in the week it was a 40+ minutes wait, and last week it was 3 calls and over 30 minutes on line. What in the world is happening there, or better stated, NOT happening? Does anyone else have this issue? How can any business leave people on hold for more 10 minutes, much less a group practice of multiple doctors?
Made and appointment to see Dr. Himdman and the receptionist refused to let me keep my appointment because I was a new patient and wanted a wellness exam which they new from the onset. I was not informed of the separate addresses and the two staff I interacted with were rude and bossy. Since when does a receptionist have the power to not allow you to see a doctor you have an appointment with. RecommendedI did not have a printer at home to print out my blood work paperwork. They gladly let me send it to them and printed it out for me
My wife and I have had great satisfaction until today. when as we were leaving after getting blood work done and the girl sitting at the front didn't see me walking a few feet behind my wife and flipped her off.
All of my family have been patients of Dr Jacks for 33 years. Through the years we’ve seen many of the other drs, PAs, LNPs. Our experiences have all been top notch and we wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else for our medical care. Sad to see the negative reviews posted here. Sure there has been an administrative glitch here and there through the years but nothing that couldn’t be resolved and certainly nothing significant enough to make me consider leaving their care. HCMA keep up the good work!
If you asked me today.. no not a happy camper. Having to re-schedlue an appt i have had on the books for more that 4 to 5months? Really?? not an easy task.. especially since all the appt times are booked up till mid to late August with a doctor I have used for over 20 years. ?? Plus the COVID fun.. they only do physicals certain days and certain times. May time for a change to a new and different medical office ?? Perhaps...
