My wife and I camped for the first time at this campground about 3 weeks ago and the experience was fantastic. We arrived at darg and Peter was very accommodating and help us set up our camper. The management style was very unobtrusive and there were free pancakes the next morning. We were also able to ride our bikes to downtown Benton Harbor and take in everything the area had to offer. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend visiting!
This was such a fun campground we truly enjoyed! Ignore the other rude reviews, the manager Peter is the kindest guy and made the entire start very warm and welcoming. Even made breakfast for the campground on Saturday morning! Yes, it is right by the “highway” but you shouldn’t be surprised since it’s literally part of the name. It truly wasn’t that bad of noise. This sweet slice of heaven right outside of grand haven is just what we were looking for when searching for a campground to spend some of our anniversary weekend! Not only was the owner super friendly and accommodating, he went out of his way to tell us about the place even after arriving late. Many amenities with clean bathrooms and a family atmosphere. Will definitely return when we come back to the area!!
