Highmark is a headless corporation with no clear direction. As both a customer and a employee for 15 years I have Seen them change in a bad way, to the point I exited, as they presented no real options for my future. Website constantly changes and you cannot find basic information. When you call in, the customer support isn't helpful. You end up making a ton of calls and hope what you figure out on your own is correct.
Horrible health insurance company. I've actually never had insurance this bad in my life. Almost nothing is covered and I need to pay hundreds out of pocket for every little bit of routine labwork or small procedure I get.
I am a provider credentialed with Highmark. I believe what they are doing is illegal when it comes to billing. When claim is rejected you cannot talk to anyone about it. They say to refer to their billing company who then says they cannot help and you must call highmark. It is a disaster. Please if you read this report them to your local state representative.
