Ive lived here 2 months and its been a nightmare. Rotted balcony, animal feces, mold under the sink, soft floors, arcing light fixtures, broken stair, and bugs in the laundry machines. Only the fridge and dishwasher were fixed. My car was towed due to no parking pass, mail key took 3 months, and extra charges show up monthly. Someone was shot in the parking lotnever disclosed. Managements solution? Sign a 12-month lease. Stay away.
Run run as far away from this company. We live at *************** in canton and this company is the worst weve had. It was better when the halfway housing was in here. They dont answer phones nor maintenance requests. I had a broken water heater for a year before they finally replaced it. They didnt install it properly either it was leaking gas and I had to call DTE to come out since they couldnt. This management company believes in being hands off when it comes to completing repairs but hands on when it comes to collecting money. Highland Vista group took over my apartment complex in the summer of 2024 and they refused to repair my dryer, the outside lights, and the decaying roof. In addition to the lack of repairs the trash was overflowing and the dumpster housed raccoons which were living better than most of the tenants. This company took over our property in ********** IN basically overnight in June of 2023. They introduced themselves by placing a note on our door on June 1, 2023 (the day rent was due) telling us they are the new owners & prior portal was no longer & we must pay them by cashiers check only & must be dropped off during business hours. Then our property became an eyesore w/trash piling up all over the property, dog p*** everywhere & started charging a $10 fee for checks/cashiers check. Rent went up $120. Do not rent from any apartments that use Hvg management!!!! Ever since theyve taken over my apartments have turned to c*** They increased rent by $100 and have me paying the same price as everyone else even though my apartment is not renovated. They tried charging me a $30 fee for not having renters insurance even though I did. Then after talking to my apartment managers about the fee they told me to go ahead and pay my rent and it would get reimbursed, so soon as I got off the phone I went to the website and paid my rent. Absolutely criminal company. What once was a decent complex is becoming a slum and this co. Is a slumlord! Incompetent, lying management. Do not rent from this company!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a senior living apartment complex right behind my home in *********** ********. Since this company has taken over the management has harrassed residents out of their apartments and left the rest in fear of whats to come. There is absolutely no communication between management and residents about what is going on and no way to call if something needs to be fixed. HVG is the worst!! Avoid doing any kind of business with them. They will disappoint you.
I lived at *********************** for 5 years before moving and went through numerous management changes. The new management (Highlands Vista Group) to take over is by far the least responsive management company I have ever had to deal with. I moved out at the end of July and I still do not have my security deposit. I contacted *********************** multiple times through email, the contact us page on the website, phone calls, and in-person.
