RecommendedWe have had many great trips to Highlands Ranch Resort. Fantastic 24 hr getaway for those in the North State. Ideal for a couple who need a romantic 1 night escape from the kids to refresh and reset. Excellent food and friendly restaurant staff. Highly recommend heading into Lassen (5 min away) on the way in, out or while there. Great hiking in summer and wonderful cross country skiing and snowshoeing in winter (and you can rent both directly from HRR).

The location is beautiful, but the food is amazing! stopped in for breakfast if you weeks ago and it was absolutely fantastic. They also have a nice lotion in the gift shop that they make there, out of the local lavender. I've enjoyed that very much.
It’s an experience! Just sitting anywhere in the lodge you’re exposed to breathtaking views of the outdoors! The fare is as outstanding as the surrounding beauty. It is a great occasion destination, or for just a lazy lunch on the deck over looking the awe of Child’s Meadow! 💕
