Truly inspiring. A place to germinate seeds of change. A Center of hope for those of us who believe in social justice, equality and human decency.
It is a beautiful and very comfortable place.
I had the privilege of being hosted by the Highlander Center for this year's Stay Summer Institute. Highlander proved to be an incredibly dynamic and educational space for me as I'm sure it has been for so many other people. The staff was incredibly warm and relentlessly hard-working; I'm endlessly grateful to them for all the hard work they put in as well as all of the folk who keep Highlander going. Thank y'all for everything you do!
Highlander has been an important community of support and solidarity in my work for liberatory pedagogy toward equality and justice in my communities. The legacy of Highlander is being lived anew in the people that gather in and through this courageous community today. I've been to three Homecomings now and really appreciate the staff and board along with all the other leaders I've met in the Highlander family.
