Well kept, short staff The sister building to Highland House, I stopped here to look at apartments first, passed, and then ended up back at the pool when the other building was under construction. The apartments are well kept, but they feel impersonal. The staff here was unhelpful and did not volunteer any information. The pool area on the roof is nice and it is kept clean. There are lounge chairs here as well for residents. This building is kept secure.
I wanted to take the time to write this review to inform potential renters who are considering Highland House West as a place to live. I have experience in highrise living and living at Highland House West and I would urge people considering Highland House West to look elsewhere and “NOT” choose this highrise as your place of residence for a few reasons. My husband and I have been living in HHW for over 3 years now. It is a great community. Easy access to the red line, responsive maintenance and staff, friendly front desk staff, and secure building and parking. The downside is that the building is a smoking building. If you are fortunate enough to not have smoking neighbors, this is a great place to live. We were in this boat, up until recently.
