Here we go: I came into Highland ER at 6:00pm with a possible DVT , a lady next to me was brought by ambulance for kidney failure. She had been there since 4:00pm in a wheelchair. Another lady was waiting for an EKG. I’m from Florida so experience this ER was like stepping into a nightmare. Terrible
More quiet than the major Strong Hospital, for sure. It's still a busy hospital but local and very helpful staff , nurses and personnel.. I find it pretty clean. Good for the age it is. Parking unfortunately is very tight. Made for smaller cars. Not for SUVs of today... It has been updated. Many procedures done here to save lives. Remarkable bariatrics here. We had the worst service even at check in when someone is experiencing chest pain chest tightness and tingling of the face. No empathy, no concern, was not hopeful even at check in, when I called after leaving I was hung up on.
Went in for stitches. This was the worst experience I've had at an ER, with a dangerous lack of medical professionalism. The NP I saw (Anna Vattana) seemingly had no idea how to do stitches. She asked ME if I thought I need more stitches because she "couldn't see very well." She gave me stitches she told me were dissolvable (they were not; I had to get them removed a month later after they started causing problems because they didn't dissolve).
