I really like the emergency room staff. Went in at about 4:00 a.m. on the 24th of April for heart issues. Every one of the staff or excellent and kind. Very unusual and refreshing. Dr Knapp is really good doctor and was very thorough. Definitely the best emergency room that I have have been to in the Rochester area. Whatever they are doing I hope they keep doing it!
EDIT: went to get the prescription and the pharmacy said they never got it. Called the ED to have it sent over again and they told me that not only was my physician off duty today but I would need to wait until the shift change finished (in an hour) before anyone would be able to get to my request. If you have to go to an emergency room choose highland over strong. Having alot of experience now with both they are more efficient with nicer staff at Highland. Plus the lights are more dim and not as irritating.
Highland Hospital Emergency Department does a good job at seeing patients more quickly than Strong Memorial Hospital does. If you had a fall, suspect a broken bone or need any imaging this place is where you should go. However, remain cautious. I brought my mother here who suffered from dementia after she fell and they did not accurately document on imaging that she broke her left arm.
