I came to High Watch a beaten man on April 14, 2004. When I first got there I wondered how am I going to stay sober from using intravenous heroin by reading from a book about alcoholics written in the 1930's. I slowly realized that this place was special. I had never been to rehab before and at 26 I didn't want to die. I listened to the staff's suggestions. High watch is a truly amazing place where staff genuinely cares about the guests and their recovery. It’s a pleasure to work at the place that saved my life. I will always be grateful to everyone there who helped me and I hope I can pay it forward as an employee.
