This place is amazing. The owners, Joel and Leah know so very much and are always open to offering advice and are extremely friendly to boot. The tea and herbal blends are all top notch and you never feel like you're in a pressured sales environment as you might at certain other tea stores. They also have occasional tasting sessions or classes that are quite fun and you always get to learn a lot. Only the best place for tea and herbs in Nashville (and very probably in the country.) Come have a pot of tea, grab a book or a board game, maybe learn a thing or two about herbs while you're here. Leah and Joel are just about the nicest people you'll meet, come bask in their hospitality and the magical wonderland they've turned their little corner of the shoppes into.
The shop is inviting & comfortable, definitely a place to linger and enjoy a cup of tea. Love that you can have a cup of ANY of their products! Be sure to ask about their custom blends (the owners clearly love what they do). That's how I ended up with their lapsang souchon/chai spice blend Bonfire Black, and it's wonderful!! Will definitely be back.
First visit to High Garden today...absolutely Loved it! Nice shop, had their Kava Shot, which I would have to say is the best Kava drink I have ever had so far... Great Job Leah and Joel! I will be back...
