Ben High is despicable. Sad that my aging parent actually trusted him. I brought in his bag of meds asking the doc to review to make sure all were needed, as I was going to be administering them. He only glanced at the bottles and said, “yes, I prescribed all but one of them so obviously he needs them.” Turns out he didn’t. Why in the world would he prescribe 5 different meds for high BP? Terrible. Has been my father-in-law’s doctor for a while, but laughed at my wife when she tried to get hospice set up on a Saturday “call me Monday if he’s still alive.” It’s a good thing he’s retiring because he’s obviously lost any compassion or desire to help that he might have had.
Office staff member Joyce is rude, disrespectful, and condescending to support staff, both in her own clinic and when working with other facilities. I have had the great displeasure of having to work with her on numerous occasions and she is ALWAYS ugly to support staff. She treats everyone like trash. If you don’t like your job then get a new one Joyce, but please stop taking your ugly attitude out on the rest of us. People like Joyce are the reason so many staff members are leaving healthcare. Negligence. And cash only
Is Dr only cares about is money. He was insisting I come down for maintenance medication refill in the middle of the pandemic when I had lost my home in months. There is no reason that I couldn’t get a refill temporarily until the governor head open the all clear but no he just wanted my copayment. I would not recommend this man to anybody. This is just the tip of the iceberg but I don’t really need to go into at all here I just think taking advantage of somebody in the middle of a pandemic is all I need to say.
Dr. High accused me of being a drug and alcohol addict. I overheard him tell a member of his office staff that I had "the DTs". At the time, I didn't even know what that meant. Thankfully, a family member explained it to me, so I could make the choice to get a second opinion. The next doctor diagnosed me with a semi-serious neurological disorder that increases my risk of aneurism and stroke. I could have DIED because of this jerk and his negligence.
Wonderful caring " old school Doctor" .
