Stayed for two nights while in town for my niece's wedding and could not recommend them more highly! Made my reservation online and the process was smooth and simple. Called to let them know that I wouldn't be arriving until late after office hours and the gentleman was very understanding and set up my door access code over the phone. When we arrived (close to midnight) we were able to go straight into our room and go to bed without the hassle of a late nigh front desk check-in process. What a wonderful motel! Such attention to detail inside and outside of the room. The staff was personable and attentive. If you’re looking for a break from the average hotel chain and want to see how it use to be done, and done very well, we highly recommend a stay at Hidden Valley Motel. This place was amazing, from the convenience to the communication to the quick humor from Jim (I’d guess) upon arrival. The ended up needing to check in a little later due to delays but he was there waiting for us with a big smile. I almost don’t want to give it 5 stars so we can keep this hidden gem, hidden. My buddy and I went strictly to snowboard Sugar & Beech and this was the best location for the best rates. Sugar was about 15 minutes and Beech took about 25-30, it was perfect. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here, as we were going to visit the nearby Hawksnest Tubing and other attractions. This location is perfectly nestled between downtown Boone and other Banner Elk locations, and it perfectly suits a family of 5! We stayed in room 6 which had 3 beds (a rarity these days), and my family absolutely loved it! The host even hand-delivered more towels when we needed them!
