Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital is a very knowledgeable, kind, and caring place to take your fur babies and pets for their health. The vets and staff at Hickory Ridge are excellent. My two cats had an emergency visit (not eating and vomiting for 48 hours). They worked us in and even though they had a full schedule they examined both furry kids and worked through with us what could have been the cause. Dr. Mulford took extra care in explaining what needs to be done and how long it would take to recover. I contacted Hickory Ridge for information on a second opinion, Dr. Parrish replied personally with a thoughtful response; the exam visit was very professional yet easy going, and she shows a true knack for putting both patient and "parent" at ease. She outlined exactly what was needed, and gave a detailed estimate, that was significantly less than what we had been quoted elsewhere, the procedure went off without a hitch, and the post op /go home session was truly helpful. We moved from Arizona in July and have been looking for a good veterinarian. While we've had some successes, they weren't consistent. We need a vet we can depend on -- and Hickory Ridge delivered. They immediately did the one test that no other veterinarian did, diagnosed a staph infection rather than garden-variety dermatitis, and came up with an aggressive treatment plan. I feel fortunate to've found HRAH. Dr. Parrish is smart, clear and organized in her approach. She often answers my nuanced questions before I ask and her judgment is reassuring re: when to be more conservative vs. aggressive in dealing with my cat's two chronic conditions.
