He showed up when he said he would, did the work he said he would do, charged what he said he would charge and stayed incredibly patient with my questions and, most importantly with Otis (my overly friendly, wants to help with everything, dog.) In 2019, I hired Mike Hickey for plumbing and gas fitting job of a big gut renovation. He always took 1/2 the money in advance, and the rest half way through the job, so was always paid in full. Without consulting me or my contractor, he ripped up finished dining room floors and incorrectly drew venting below a planned deck, contrary to code. My contractor and I pleaded with Mike for weeks to fix this and he refused. So we hired another plumber and it cost us $7,500 to repair the floors and redo the venting correctly. 7 mont... read more
Lost hot water at the shower and likely culprit was the Moen PosiTemp cartridge. No problem. Went to HD, bought the cartridge, came home and tried to remove the old one. Hahaha Did. Not. Budge. Tried to rip the thing out for over an hour, but it was so corroded it had fused with the faucet. It was about 4pm when I started to panic.
