I'm writing this after owning a home for a year. My HVAC had to be replaced the day of closing, and it hasn't worked correctly since. The upstairs still doesn't have heating and cooling properly balanced. Every "fix" just redirects it to one half of the upstairs. The unit also leaked in my attic and led to a mold issue. The "preferred" lenders they push you towards are also predatory. The lender I used matched my rate, said they would lock it in, and then did not do so and almost caused the deal to fall through. I would not recommend HHHUNT builders. The new homes in Suffolk are not first time quality. They are building these 2,000 plus sq ft homes with 1 AC/ heat unit that is terrible to regulate from the attic. During our year inspection our inspector found more discrepancies with the home. Over priced I never heard of paying for each light fixture in home & the electrical work is poor.
We started our build process with HHHunt in Raleigh a couple of months ago and it was mostly frustration after frustration. It started off with heavy pressure to make a rushed decision on purchasing the lot and house as well as making structural and exterior color decisions. And it did not get better the further we went. The contract stipulates that design center selections have to be submitted with in 20 days of a ratified contract but our first meeting with the design center was 21 days after the contract was ratified. ... read more
Do not recommend this builder. They over promised and never delivered. Once you signed the paper, they do not care about you. Home quality depends on the contractor crew you get. Do not recommend this builder.
I would have given them all five stars however Hien and the rest of the team were great up until I closed on my home. I received text messages with updated pictures of my home, weekly calls about the progress and whenever I called the team was very responsive. Since closing, no one will pick up the phone, no one will call me back and no one will answer my questions.
