I would like to give a reference for Howard Molen and HFM Builders. I had been recommended by our building, 45 Tudor City Place in New York City to reach out to him for some renovations to our studio apartment that needed completing. They did my bathroom renovation. I initially was very happy with the work. However, a few months later, the pipes burst and destroyed the apt below me. Turns out they used illegal plastic pipes and skipped the waterproofing steps. Now they dodge all calls from me and insurance and I can' t get the money from them to pay for all of the repairs and two weeks of moving to a hotel. He will not take responsibility for his illegal work and it' s a financial catastrophe for me.
