I don't know what management took over in the last few years, but I used to ADORE Hey Cupcake! (even had the sticker on my car) from ~2010-2016. I went to a trailer on South Congress last year and was completely floored when I saw that not only had the size of the cake changed, but also, completely, the frosting, the wrapping and the overall taste. Excellent service and the cupcakes are just unbeatable! Best lavender lemon and red velvet cupcakes in the market.
I feel like I just wasted about 300 calories. I got the spice gurl. The cake was very dense but the icing was good. Nothing really special. He asked if I wanted to pay cash or card and I said cash and pulled out a $20 for a $5.50 order. No change for a 20, so card it was. I sat down to eat my cupcake and they didn’t have any utensils. All other cupcake places offer at least a fork. I will stick to sprinkles or crave.
Had the best red velvet cupcake there last night. The person manning the truck was great, very on the ball.
