Hestia is truly one of the best fine dining restaurants I've ever been to. The food is exceptional, the menu is incredibly creative, showcasing outstanding technique and thoughtful flavor combinations. Every item felt intentional and beautifully executed. My wife and I walked out of Hestia this evening feeling like an inconvenience — food was fine — we arrived as tourists and were treated (at times) like we’d never be seen again — and they’d be right on that assumption; disappointed all around on our first dinner out, on our first day here in Austin.
Exceptional in every way. The service from start to finish was on point. Small bites are delicious, cocktails are wonderfully crafted, the oysters and shishito peppers were perfect, and the halibut along with waygu bavette were exceptional. Top it off with the sourdough ice cream for an amazing culinary experience. Very deserving of their accolades in every way.
Everything the whole meal a special, elevated feel. You can honestly taste the care and creativity in every bite. We started with a couple small bites—the corn in husk and the crab toast—both super cute, tiny one-bite starters that set the tone. After that we had the crudo, which I really loved for its light smokiness. The flavors just felt simple but really well done.
One of the most delicious meals in ATX. Scallop with tallow was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. Pork chop was my second fav on the menu.
