My father is a current patient and has dimensia. While asking questions this guy was short to answer, interrupted constantly, and rude. I even mentioned that I didn't know what I did to upset him but he just kept getting more and more disrespectful. My favorite phrase of my conversation was "I don't know what you want me to tell you, as you said I'm just the doctor on the floor." He introduced himself as a doctor and I inquired what kind (neurologist, psychiatrist, etc...) which clearly upset him.
Was an inpatient admitted from ER. Only focus of this doctor was discharge. Not trying to treat me. Rude, judgemental, arrogant, pompous. Did nothing to help my illness.

My father had knee replacement surgery on Tuesday and was having difficultly w/ the anesthesia clearing his system. A bed alarm was ordered since he was trying to get out of bed & was not able to stand/walk. He fell Friday morning and a sitter was ordered. The next morning Dr. Hessen was insisting on transferring him to rehab facility because he felt a sitter was not needed.I disagreed. he proceeded to tell the nurse I'm not going to deal w/her & told me you are not medical, just family
Doctor Hassam lacks compassion and is not detail oriented. His lack of care and the nurses of the surgical ward were horrible. I will never return or recommend.
