I was in excruciating pain and had already visited the ER three times. After my second visit, I saw Dr. Zakaria, who ordered an epidural and scheduled a follow-up. When the pain worsened the next day and I needed to call 911, and went to ER again he took charge. He came to see me in the ER, quickly and hospitalized me . He ordered the necessary tests, and procedures and told me he would find the troubled nerve and release this horribleI pain . Dr. Zakaria is a very kind, caring surgeon. He explained my neck issue very easy to understand, what procedure will doing on me. His confidence make me trust on him. And I have speedy recovery after one month surgery
All staff and Dr. Zakaria were very professional and personable. He really made me feel like he really cared and was concerned about helping me with my situation. I felt very comfortable with him as well. He was very thorough and answered all my concerns and questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Zakaria to anyone needing his specialty in his field.
Doctor and the PA are rude and condescending. Does not read up on the chart, and order xrays that are impossible for a disabled person to do. No empathy, not friendly at all, just brushes off your issues and refers back to PCP.
Dr. Zakaria does seem to be quite booked up, as both times I have tried to make an appointment with him, it took at least a month (many months in the first case). In my case, this wasn't a huge problem, as my situation, isn't urgent. I suspect he is in demand as a surgeon. On the day of my video visit with him, he was an hour late for the appointment.
