Probably the quickest time getting a rental. The lady who helped me was very professional and showed me where I could drop the key off after hours. It was also cheaper than renting from LAX and was 15 to 20 minutes from the airport. Do this instead.
Staff Gabby deserves a raise for going above and beyond. We flew in from Canada and due to our flight being delayed we honestly didn't think we would make it. Id like to also thank the front end staff of the Westin hotel who helped advise and send the message to the Hertz front desk. Gabby contacted me asking what my ETA would be, with reception cutting off and a noisy airport unknowingly she waited as we made it at 4:55pm. They closed on me. I was there close to closing time but it wasn’t close time. I was supposed to pick up a car and I already talked to a person that my flight got delayed. There was a sign saying that they’ll wait for me on the reservation, but they didn’t. This ruined my entire day.
This location closes early on weekends. However the Hertz app still indicates you can pick up a rental after hours and even lets you book a pickup past their closing time. Upon arriving, you won’t be able to pick up your car. They’ll give you a phone number to their unhelpful customer service line who’ll try to make you rebook your car nearby for hundreds of dollars more. Book directly with the LAX rental car facility location across the street instead.
