Me and my husband came here he called ahead of time to make sure we could get a car and to ask if midsize vehicle was available and it was confirmed that it was. I still reached out 4-5 times on my end to just make sure before heading there I got no answer from my end literally nobody was picking up the phone. I normally go to the Hertz at whatever airport I fly into. This time my husband and I took Amtrak and chose a location near Union Station in Pittsburgh. The gentleman in charge of this location was very gracious. He did not have any choices but one vehicle. This was a Jeep Wrangler that was returned with the gas tank on empty. He did offer to go fill the tank. I chose to do it myself. I am a short woman so getting in and out of the car was a hassle. I did not enjoy the ride at all. The people in this place is really rude and never notify ahead if there is no car. What a waste of time.
Don't bother booking a specific car - they don't honor online reservations and will just give you whatever is available. I paid extra to pre-book a specific car (weeks in advance!!) and they told me that they rented it out yesterday...? Don't bother getting there on time - the first employee doesn't usually show up until 45 mins after they are supposed to be open. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me at this location.
