Super slow, had a car reservation but they didn't actually have the car available.
Travelled with spouse, daughter from LA, son and partner and their 8 month old from NYC to a family gathering in Pittsburgh. It was loads of fun and the car was perfect. Thank you!
Terrible experience from start to finish. I booked a car weeks in advance and even tried to adjust the pickup time. To be safe, I called to confirm the vehicle was available—especially since it seemed a hold had already been placed on my card. After having to call three separate times, I was met with an incredibly rude representative who repeatedly talked over me, only to finally tell me the car had been given away. That’s unacceptable. Do not rent from here - dropped my car off in the Hertz lot close to closing time, nobody helped scan the car in.. did not receive a receipt for my rental, so I called and they said the car had been stolen out of their own lot. 1600+ dollars worth of charges on my card now, and they didn't tell me to call roadside or anything after filing an incident report immediately. No follow ups after I filed a police report. They did not do anything AT ALL. Roadside tells me the cars last location is in the lot where I dropped the car!... read more
the location is very convenient, if travel to multiple cities like I did: I didn't need to rent a car in New York or Boston, but renting a car after leaving Amtrak in this location is superb, only walk less than 100 meters! then you are good to go around DC and Philadelphia. return car here is also nice if next step is JFK airport, as Amtrak is same spot again. best combination of public transport and freedom driving. the staff is very friendly and professional. makes journey very smooth.😉
