Went to pick up the car, it wasn’t available- they didn’t have a car that was booked online. It was pre paid and they didn’t want to refund me on the spot, regardless of not having the car. Then offered me a worse car that’s cheaper but without a refund or to upgrade and pay more. I left without any car and the woman at the counter said everyone complains and that’s just how it is. So easy and convenient! I needed a car for a couple of days while staying in Venice. Easy walk over to the Marriott and Hertz is right in the lobby - cars parked in the hotel garage. The employee was very courteous and I had several cars to choose from. Highly recommend!

I booked a manager's special reservation on their website for $32.99/day. When I got there I was told the manager's special wasn't available and I'd have to wait for a car, or I could pay $20 more to upgrade the reservation and get a car immediately. I had an appointment in East LA I needed to get to and didn't have time to waste, so I ended up paying $61.13. I thought bait & switch was illegal but that's exactly what happened to me here. I wouldn't dream of doing this to a customer.

Avoid this branch!! Ordered an EV and got one with 12% battery charge. How is someone supposed to start his day of vacation or work when he has to spend hours on charging the useless car he received? The representative at the counter did not seem to care and thought it was my problem and not hers… And as if that wasn’t enough- when I got the final receipt in my email a few days later I saw they charged me for 5 days instead of the 2 days I used the car (returned it on time). Not such an innocent mistake.

The service was unacceptable — they tried to give us an EV with only 10% charge, and the only charging option they offer on-site is overnight. When we requested a non-EV, they attempted to double the rate. The representative showed no intention of providing proper service. We chose not to take any car. Spare the apologies — this policy is clearly intentional.
