Great experience other than Hertz pestering you over and over for add-ons about fuel, insurance and tolls.
I rented a full-sized car while visiting Providence, RI recently. Great price, great upgrade and I got to choose my vehicle! Easy pick-up - keys are in the car, and drop-off too, just park and go! Easy Peasy! Highly recommend Hertz!
1/5 — Extremely Dangerous Experience I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Hertz. While traveling in New Jersey with my children, the rental car I was given got a flat tire. When the repair shop lifted the vehicle, they discovered that BOTH front tires were completely bald on the inside. The tires were worn down so badly that the wires were visible. Renting from Hertz is self explanatory I’ve been renting with them for months getting this ram 1500 was easy and fast I didn’t go threw any wait time I booked ahead came right in left and drop off is easy it’s self explanatory bring the car in whenever time the only thing they can be better on is releasing the deposit fee back into the original form of payment which is whatever but Overall Great place to get a rental from
Technically zero stars. The car I received had not been cleaned and it smelled of cigarette smoke! I thought I could handle the drive since it was only an hour, but I arrived smelling like cigarettes and with a headache, same on the way back. When checking out my car, I also had awful customer service, so I didn't even attempt to exchange cars as I was already running late.
