I have been in now FOUR times because my 23 Sportage is losing coolant. They tell me this is "fluctuation." I think they need a dictionary. The purple line is when I left last week on 4/14. That reading was done cold in the parking lot. I walked back with the advisor so that the engine would not be warm at all. The second reading is also cold from today 4/19. As you can see it is again BELOW the minimum line.
We took our 2025 Kia Carnival in for a typical oil change and tire rotation, per our service package with Herson's. They told us that we had a severely damaged strut that would need replacing to the tune of $700+. They said we probably forgot that we hit a pothole (?) We delayed the work so that we could save up a bit. Took the van to our local auto shop and they did a full inspection, test drive, workup, etc. Surprise! Totally phantom problem. Brian was great, provided great service
Had a great experience with the service team. My car was due for its 1st service since my purchase, I was able to make the appointment easily, was greeted and my car was taken into service right away. Brian Cuello was my advisor and provided excellent service. I will be happy to come back again.
This may be the last time I ever go to this location. My service advisor Brian Cuello, has no respect for customers time and repeatedly provided false or contradictory information in an apparent attempt to cover up mistakes. On 11/21/25, my car shut off in the middle of the road and was towed by AAA to Herson Kia, 15531 Frederick Rd, Rockville, MD 20855.
