We offer full septic service to all of Dutchess County, parts of Ulster, Westchester, Putman, Rockland and Orange counties. We have grown to include water jetting, snaking services and plumbing. superior service Very professional service. When they came to clean my septic tank, the driver gave me all the details about keeping up on the system. Also, they were very prompt and affordable. I would say there number 1 in the number 2 business!!
DONT USE Caution do not use these guys you will never hear a good word about them.They absolutely screwed up my septic.Live and learn
Fixed their error. We have used Herring when our dry well filled and they put in a new one. We had a problem a year later and turns out a perforated pipe was used rather than a solid one. Water was never even getting to the dry well. They corrected the problem quickly. Worked out ok.
Do not use this company I would not use them again. First driver did not finish the job, charged us and implied that we would be refunded-evened out by next driver's bill. This was not the case and the owner Jimmy would not credit full amount to our account. I would pay more next time and use a more professional company.
RecommendedI called Herring for a tank pump. What an outstanding group of people! Kind, funny and professional. Knowledgeable of the area. I guess thats what happens when you've been in business so long. I felt as though I was speaking with family.
All i have to say is this company is AWESOME. I used to use another big name company Earth Care) and they ripped me off i had a problem with my septic and was told i may need new leach field and i called herring and Jason came out within 15 mins and the problem was fixed just like that. I told him that i will be using Herring going forward because i am tired of getting ripped off by Earth Care - Herring Sanitation You guys ROCK thanks so much for helping me out and i wish more people were like your company!!!!!

After two weeks of working with another septic and plumbing company trying to resolve a situation with our septic tank - with no real progress and a few unnecessary services/costs, we finally reached out to Herring Sanitation for a second opinion. The owner himself came out to our house the same day and quickly assessed the situation. Great experience with a septic replacement. The heat was unbearable, yet these guys did not let up until the work was complete. A lot of care went into the distribution box and connections to the existing leeche field. I can not thank them enough!
