The services of Heron's Crossing brought us peace in a difficult time. We are so grateful to Dr. Pendergraft and everyone involved for their empathy and understanding. Dr. Pendergraft took the time to get to know our pet and our life with them and ensured we were ready for each step of the process. The transition of our beloved Prometheus was as peaceful as I could hope for any being on this wonderous earth. I cannot put a value on the peace given to us.
Dr. Jo Ann Millard came to our house on Sunday 5/24 to euthanize our beloved Boston Terrier Tank, and we cannot thank her enough. She was right on time (which was so helpful since Tank was anxious and in pain), and also very loving and detail-oriented. The medication she gave Tank was just right, so he was peaceful and relaxed all the way to the end (unlike a cat we had years ago who died while having seizures because the vet did not medicate her correctly). Dr. Pendergraft is truly a saint—an extraordinarily compassionate and selfless person who provides an invaluable service. He brought such comfort to both me and my dog of 13 years during an incredibly difficult time. His gentle presence, kind words, and thoughtful care made a terrible situation a little easier to bear. I cannot recommend him and Heron’s Crossing enough.
Losing our Brody was the hardest goodbye we had to make, but Dr. Payne made us as comfortable as possible and walked alongside us during a very difficult visit. The vision of putting our sweet Brody to rest was indeed made possible by a wonderful company and team, and even as hard as it was, my husband and I had so much peace during his final moments. Dr Payne, thank you! And thank you for your service to our loved ones, and your beautiful business acumen. RIP Brody Bear—We love you so much and you’re with us always.
I could not be more grateful for Heron's Crossing and Dr. Ashley. Our 19 year old cat, Stella, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her humans in her favorite chair. They called us promptly on a Sunday morning and we were able to get someone out within 2 hours of speaking to their excellent staff. Dr. Ashley was so patient and kind, explaining the steps and putting us and Stella at ease. Will highly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.
