My journey with an incisional hernia started about 15 years ago after an appendix surgery left me with a large incision and serious problems with my abdominal wall. My husband had hernia surgery performed by Dr. Treen on August 28, 2026 at Avala in Covington. Three hernias were repaired and one of them made him feel so insecure for many years. Went in for an inguinal hernia. Everyone was very kind and helpful with a lot of knowledge and experience. The entire process from before surgery, day of surgery, and the follow up were very straightforward and pretty stress free. Dr. Treen did an amazing job along with the other doctors and nurses. Nobody is excited about having to get surgery, but if you have any hernia issues then I would highly recommend going to the Hernia Institute of Louisiana.
