This dr did a trigger finger surgery on me. I called his office to report increased pain and that the surgery site hadn’t closed. Physician Assistant Nicole Herrod told me it was nothing. Dr Hernadez finally saw me and said he would take care of it out patient. 4 days in the hospital and 2 surgeries to find out I had a staph infection and the tendon ruptured. Dr H was uncommunicative and seemed unsure. I eventually went to NYC to Hospital of Special Surgery for reconstructive surgery.
If I could rate zero stars I would. Dr. Hernandez was so incredibly rude to me. I went in with thumb pain and he only checked me for Carpal tunnel. I explained to him after checking me for carpal tunnel that that is not my problem, all my pain is in my thumb. All he did was move my thumb in a circle and said there is nothing wrong with you, you don’t need an EMG, there’s nothing there. Got up and left. He was in the room 5 minutes with me. The lady who was taking his notes was nice enough to say to me if you want to get an E... read more
Dr. Hernandez is a very talented and knowledgable. It takes a special balance of brains, skill, and confidence to do this job! Surgeons are heroes

Had an appointment this morning for chronic wrist pain. I have never been treated so poorly by ANY Dr in my life. He played with my wrist for about a minute, asked me "what do you want from me"? I guess because an emg test I had prior was normal. He asked nothing about my symptoms nor did he care about my medical history. The fact my insurance is going to pay for this visit turns my stomach. Save yourself and see another Dr. I already made it clear I will not be following up with him.
