Worst service and charges ever!! – This animal hospital is only interested in making money, bottom line. My cat has urniary tract infection and they didn't want to give him anything for it, but first, it had to have a $160 urine analysis charge plus exam fee, and pain medication fee. Nothing solved!! Cat was still in pain, peeing everywhere in house and in a great amount of pain. They seem to only want to talk about expenses the entire time... I'll go nowhere else ... – I've been taking my dogs and cats to HAH for nearly 15 years. Over the years, I've seen all of the doctors at least once and, without exception, I found them to be knowledgeable and caring. Never once have they recommended an inappropriate procedure nor have they ever failed to recommend something that was medically necessary. Is HAH expensive? Yes, but no more so than anywhere else. Very Big and Expensive – I thought this place would be great from the reviews I read but I was dissapointed. My dog means every thing to me and I felt like she was just a $$ sign to them. The staff was not very friendly and the waiting room was far too hectic. My dog was stressed and I felt like the doctor didn't even spend 5 minutes with us. I think this hospital is too large and busy for us.
Too Expensive and Too Hectic – This hospital is very big, busy, and unfriendly. They care more about shuffling you through the door than about why you are there. The front staff is less than friendly and the doctors are okay. My pets mean everything to me and I don't think this hospital trully cares about that or me.
What happened to the family vet? – If you like large corporate vets than this is the place for you. This huge hospital has so many employees you can't possibly expect them to remember you or your pets name. They hike up their prices so they can afford their brand new corporate hospital. The front employees are rude, the doctors change every week, and the prices keep going up. I would recommend a smaller hospital with more customer service that is not a huge corporation.
I wouldn't bring my dogs anywhere else – I have been bringing my dogs to Hermosa Animal Hospital for over 10 years now. Dr. Liebel and Dr. Doane are excellent vets - both knowledge and "petside manner" - and my dogs adore them. Their newer facility is clean and spacious. The support staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Moss where did he go? – I have seen Dr. Moss and I think he is a very good veterinarian. He is caring, compassionate, and really seems to care about me and my pets. I also found out he opened his own hospital and is no longer working for that big corporate hospital in Hermosa anymore. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly – All in all, this is a great veterinary hospital. Dr. Steve Liebl is by far the best, most knowledgeable, and the most experienced. Unfortunately, he is also the most dificult to score an appointment with, so there have been a few occasions when I have taken my dog to see Dr. Moss. Dr. Moss is not practicing at HAH – Dr. Moss is an excellent vet with high standards and morals. He left HAH for professional reasons and will be opening his own hospital in November.
