I so wish I had avoided this place. I called with a referral seeking a therapist for my teenage daughter. I stressed that we needed to set this up as soon as possible. They insisted that I fill out a bunch of intake forms and even provide my confidential credit card info before they would check availability. It was a big hassle. So what happened after that? Nothing. Nada. Radio silence. No calls back, no message, nothing. This place is not worth your time. Now I have to worry about my credit card.
BE VERY WARY and carefully interview your therapist if you are a high-conflict couple; in my experience (60 sessions!) with the head psychologist of the Hinsdale clinic, there was a lack of assessment and understanding of covert emotional abuse and a lack of holding accountable the power and control dynamic at play...which would have been the one intervention that could have saved my marriage. Been going to this facility for many years now:saw Gloria Sanchez for my daughter which was terrific, then Susan Schempe for myself, an intuitive & spiritual healer, then John McConnel for some cognitive testing which went the extra mile for me to get the testing even in Italian as is my mother language, and finally Chris Mazzarella , which was our couple therapist and helped incredibly with making things much more clearer for me & my husband.
