4.9 out of 5 stars Small seven room hotel in historic building. Heather was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable rooms nice atmosphere. Will stay again if I’m in the area. Outside of Carlsbad, NM for a fair price. Carlsbad is an oil and gas boomtown rooms overpriced by double or triple usual rates.
We loved it very nice and very clean. Very comfortable bed don't have anything to complain about.
We were headed to Carlsbad Caverns and wasn’t going to pay the $400 plus prices in Carlsbad at normal chains we stay at. Saw the Heritage Inn on-line with good reviews and priced right. We arrived to a friendly staff member, and to a super cute room. It was cleaned and well maintained and quiet. We will be going back to the Caverns within the next year and would stay right back at the Inn and make a bit of a longer drive.
Innkeeper was very kind, called to check in with me about when I expected to be in. Simple but nice continental breakfast. A really good deal for $99. There’s a nice patio and the rooms themselves are super cute, well designed, and clean. We stayed here while on a road trip, and stopped by Carlsbad Caverns after checking out (it’s smack dab between Roswell and the Caverns). Highly recommend!
This little inn is awesome! It is way nicer than local hotels in the area. If you're visiting the Carlsbad Caverns or surrounding areas....do yourself a favor in stay in this charming little inn. Plus....there is a great little microbrewery restaurant within walking distance of this little gem.
I was in town for a show I was promoting at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center. The Heritage Inn was conveniently across the street and our main reasoning for selecting. We were so pleasantly surprised when we stop by the weekend before our stay and discovered how lovely the B & B was, Artesia's best kept secret. We ended up booking four rooms for family and friends. Wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the Carlsbad Caverns or Roswell. The owners run the place and do it right. Warm, friendly and helpful people. Really enjoyed our stay. Worth making another trip that way just to stay there again.
