Worth a 4,000-Mile Journey I travelled nearly 4,000 miles round-trip from Montreal, Canada to Austin, Texas, and Heritage Boot Company did not disappoint. I'm not new to cowboy boots. I own six pairs, including riding boots with spurs, have visited Allen's Boots, and have tried on numerous pairs from Lucchese, Tecovas, and other respected brands. If zero stars was an option that is what I’d leave. Got the ole “don’t touch anything” treatment. Hopefully their boots make up for what they lack in a warm southern welcome.
I own 6 pairs of Lucchese boots. My wife has a pair of $4K custom boots from Leddy’s in Ft. Worth as she has a very difficult foot to fit. Even with all this, we have fallen in love with Heritage boots for the fit, price to value, design, and service. My wife and I each picked up a pair this weekend. The full quill ostrich I got fit me better than several of my Lucchese’s. I’m a local and was showing a friend visiting from out of town all the shops around Congress Ave. We stopped by Heritage Boot because I'd never been. Before we even took two steps inside, an older gentleman said “don’t touch anything,” with a sneer that lasted long enough for me to catch his upper lip pulled back, baring his upper teeth.
