Finally had someone to listen – I have been going to the same dentist for years and told him that I though I may be having headaches because of clinching my jaw. I went to Dr. Land one time without even telling him my problem and he already knew. He may be a little expensive but it was well worth it not to have migraines anymore, plus if I waited on my dentist, I would probably have cracked teeth by now.
Not competent – Both of my children received braces from Dr. Land and as soon as we had paid him, he could not wait to remove their braces! He is also very talkative and is way too busy socializing with other patient's parents! My daughter NOW needs corrective jaw surgery from his BOTCHED palate extender that he used before her braces. A very good specialist,(oral surgeon) at UNC and one in Cary said that his* work had caused her harm. * (they said whoever had done the work!) and it was old Herb himself. Bad! – I received braces from Dr. Land several years ago. In the past few years I have had several problems with my bite resulting in headaches and jaw pain. Several specialists have told me that my braces were not kept on long enough and that they actually made my bite and teeth worse. To correct what Dr. Land has done I will now need braces again and surgery. If my teeth had been correctly treated when I was younger I would not be having these problems now.
Unhappy Parent – My child received 2 sets of braces and the teeth are not straight to our satisfaction yet. Dr Land insist that the are. The initial upper retainer rusted and broke and they tried to charge us $350.00 for a replacement whice we refused. This was a waste of time and money.
