I purchased a used Avalon at this dealership, and was lied to about the condition of the vehicle and the prior use of the vehicle. The vehicle came from a rental company in Florida, and is suspected to have gone through a flood. It was poorly covered up with the work not being done on the books to repair it, so that it didn’t show up on the carfax. Sold my wife a car and the paint completely chipped off the whole vehicle. Was informed that there was a recall to fix this particular paint color. When asked to address issue was told that it would be my problem to pay to fix it.

I am writing to warn others about the deceptive and unprofessional service at Herb Chambers Toyota of Boston. I brought in my 2019 Toyota Corolla (only ~19000 miles) for standard 20k factory-recommended maintenance. During check-in, Tereza at the front desk intentionally pushed several expensive add-on services not required by Toyota's official maintenance schedule for my mileage.
