I was traveling and the restaurant was suggested by my hotel. It was an outstanding recommendation. I happened into a wine dinner with Seven Deadly Zins and each course was fabulous and HUGE. The prime rib was one of the best I have ever had, perfectly prepared grass fed beef, seasoned to perfection and rich as only good beef can be. We went to this restaurant with friends that suggested it. Oddly, we had seen the restaurant earlier that week and wondered about it. We started the meal with a lobster bisque and I have to say that it was good. We always compare it to one that we had in New Orleans and their bisque was almost as good!! The filets we had were prepared as ordered and were very tasty. We order the same thing again when we go back.
On the recommendation of my hotel I tried Hensley's and was not disappointing. I ate at the bar and had a small filet with salad and spinach. The beef was between choice and prime, priced fairly, cooked perfectly and served on a hot plate; the way it should be. The bartender was friendly and professional. I went to this restaurant for the first time today for my husbands birthday after we visited the Express Clydesdales! I made the staff aware that it was my husbands birthday and they told him he gets a free piece of pie! They said even if he ate his entire meal and was full he could take the pie to go!
