My mother went to him with fluid leaking from her eyes years ago. She was diabetic. My father told me what he said to him when my dad asked for him to close the holes that were bleeding blood into her eye. He was very rude to my dad. My dad shared exactly what he said to him. My mom wound up in an Albany hospital where the fluid was drained from both eyes and artificial fluid was used to replace it. Her vision was restored for many years. Dr. Mayfield and staff are very friendly and professional. I had a procedure involving a needle being injected in my eye. Needled to say I was apprehensive and nervous. Dr. Mayfield performed the procedure so effortlessly that I didn’t know it had been done until he told me he had finished. None of my fears had been realized! If you need a ophthalmologist I highly recommend Dr. Mayfield.
They cancelled my appt. and did not contact me. The girl had the moxie to lie that she had left a voice mail.....that my mailbox was full....that was a bald faced lie. I am retired and delete messages daily. I will not return !
My grandmother had been a patient of this doctor for several years had a cataract surgery in right a few years back the the same surgery in left eye September of 2020. She had a hard time getting glasses after surgery and it was like pulling teeth to get assistance to get a new prescription after surgery for her trifocals. So finally get her an appointment with another opthalmogogist come to find out she now has advanced glaucoma. Always courteous and kind nature. I love the fact he loves our Lord and is not shy about speaking of Him. The office staff is excellence. One cataract surgery down and and loving to be able to see. Next eye is scheduled soon!
Always thorough and on time.
Dr. Henslee did my cataracts surgery. All went well. He is very professional and friendly. It's been 2 years since the surgery and have no issues. Had a follow up in June and all was well.
He had rather argue with you than treat you. He may be ok but bad bedside manner
