Such a great place. Henry's is the epitome of what it means to live uptown in New Orleans.
My father, born in 1928, learned how to drive from the owner, Buddy Crone, of Henry's when he was 17. When he passed earlier this year all my family, 8 siblings and many grandkids, went to Henry's to celebrate his life. The present owner, Henry's son I believe, spent the night telling us stories about my dad when they were kids. Great neighborhood bar! My father's photo still hangs on the wall.
One of the best bars ever!
Fun and friendly place! The staff is great and the atmosphere is relaxed and easy to mingle. Great service. It's the place to be during Saturday Mardi Gras parades!
Great bar. Great people. Great sports. Some of the best bartenders in New Orleans. My dad took me their for my 1st beer on my 18th birthday.
I have probably spent about the last 20 years of my life going to Henry's!! I have wonderful memories and made lots of friends there. It's the kind of place that when you walk in everybody knows your name. One night I went for a date with this really great guy and we shared our first kiss on the sidewalk. I married that guy so years later I went back to re-create our first kiss!
